The Career Development Center at the University of Zakho celebrated the design day on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. This festival was sponsored by the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Norwegian oil and gas operator (DNO) and was held under the supervision of the President of the University of Zakho Prof. Nadhim S. Abdulaziz and in the presence of the Public Affairs Officer Gina Cabrera, the Higher Education Advisor Mr. Riving Mizory, Vice President for Administration and Financial Affairs Dr. Diyar A. Said, deans of the colleges, heads of the departments, representative of Kurdistan Democratic Party-Zakho Sector, organizations’ representatives, journalists, staff, lecturers and students.

Design Day is an opportunity to recognize the value of design and its capacity to effect change. On this day, students work hard to find innovative solutions to local needs by using design as a vehicle to honor diversity. This event was aimed at showcasing various design projects and celebrating the achievements, creativity, and ingenuity of the students from different departments.

Eventually, the president expressed his gratitude to the Career Development Center for their permanent efforts, and deeply appreciated DNO Company’s support and cooperation with the university.  In the end, all the participants were awarded by the aforementioned center.
